Forecast was right, The winter arrived without snow. Now it's below zero and even colder. But on the daytime it still goes to 2 Celsius. Now we wait with
excitement when we get the flurry thing.

The things you describe are mentioned in this book - snuggling by a fire with hot chocolate; warm cozy socks, reading, eating homemade cookies etc. - it's a cute little book - I think it's from Denmark? (It's been a while since I read it).
(Well - dopey me - guess I should look a bit closer at the cover - I got it out of the library quite a while back).
Freeze watch for my area tonight and tomorrow!I'm going to have to find my long sleeve shirt. I might need it tomorrow.
It is minus 19 but with the wind chill it's around minus 26 - at least it's quite sunny today which is nice (once my Jeep is all warmed up I don't mind going through the drive-thru at Starbucks for my skinny latte).

Minus 40 with the wind chill, where exposed skin will freeze in X number of minutes (I cannot remember how many - but that is DANG cold!)If it's minus 19 and nice, I'd hate to hear what you think is cold.
Oh don't worry - it's too soon for minus 40 - that will only happen for maybe a week or two and usually in January - stay safe and warm and watch out for those minks!Snow came yesterday and it's cold too -6C but forecast says it gets warm next week again, so probably the snow melt by then.
Neesy - That's pretty cold, stay safe and warm.
You live in the sunny south, right? Where is that danged global warming they promised?16 degrees with a real feel of -12......snow, ice, no school. blah, blah, blah, blah................
I ask that same question every.single.winter.......You live in the sunny south, right? Where is that danged global warming they promised?
You should put up a mailbox graveyard and charge tourists $5 apiece to visit.Really cold when I walked outside this morning. Had flurries coming from the west and fine snow coming from the north with the ski resort up the road making snow. Alas, soon the skiers will come. Goodbye mailbox... you served me well.
They'd probably skid right through it and knock everything down. You should put up a mailbox graveyard and charge tourists $5 apiece to visit.
Where's Sunny with that pointy stick when you need her?I've got my long sleeves on today.
