Unseasonably warm. In fact, it's supposed to hit 60 degrees on Friday. On the last day of January. IN the Pacific Northwest.

I was at the doctor yesterday and was worried that he might ask me to jump on the scale but that didn't happen (dodged a bullet!) but I know for my health and also because swim suit season is approaching that I need to keep track (plus be much more physically active).Doing the meetings plus smart phone plan as they had a good deal for that. Looks like it's still running now at least in the US. So, bringing this back on topic for weather (mea culpa for the thread hijack), am hoping by the time the temperatures are warm enough for me to use the pool, I'll be more comfortable in a bathing suit.
Looks like winter here today. Snowing quite nicely. 31F feels like 19F. I am enjoying it a little. We have not had very many days like this, this winter! It is not supposed to amount to much but kind of like watching it come down.
Remind me I said that if we have snow into the end of May like last year again.
According to Google, Lucy is Nova Scotia's groundhog day spring forecaster.Even though Manitoba Merv apparently did not see his shadow on Sunday, our weather has turned cold again - it is minus 26 with the wind chill
By the way - who is Lucy the Lobster?
Does Google also mention that she’s delicious when dipped in butter?According to Google, Lucy is Nova Scotia's groundhog day spring forecaster.
No, it said she survived the forecast event. Other lobsters weren't as lucky, however, as there was a festival with lobster dishes figuring prominently on the menu.Does Google also mention that she’s delicious when dipped in butter?
Oh my...not lobster bisque??(((faints)))No, it said she survived the forecast event. Other lobsters weren't as lucky, however, as there was a festival with lobster dishes figuring prominently on the menu.
Pennsylvania’s got a new celebrity groundhog... Poppy. The groundhog in Jeep’s Super Bowl Groundhog Day redux commercial. She predicted 3 more hours of stupid Super Bowl ads.Even though Manitoba Merv apparently did not see his shadow on Sunday, our weather has turned cold again - it is minus 26 with the wind chill

Wicked cold here today. Only 36 degrees with a forecast of 55 for the high. A cold front is hanging in for the next few days so no 70s again until the weekend. On Sunday it had hit 79 degrees. I want that back!
Anyone else hear the sound of small violins playing????

Sure, Jan.Pretty much what I was expecting.
Ever try the Seresto collar? We’ve had great luck with it on our dog for preventing ticks. After nearly a month of no sunshine at all, we had two glorious days of February sunshine! Felt so good to see shadows again after a month of gray skies. I took a big nature walk with the dog and had to remove five ticks from her immediately afterwards. (Don't worry, they didn't bite her, probably because she's medicated against ticks.)
Today it's not sunny but still in the 50s, which is wonderful for Pittsburgh in February. Alas, it's not going to last much longer, and the dreaded wintry mix is coming.
No, but I will now! It's a ticky world out there.Ever try the Seresto collar? We’ve had great luck with it on our dog for preventing ticks.
