It is 2 degrees right now. No school again today. Kaden is loving that. I think we got about 5 inches of snow. I was supposed to go to see the surgeon who did the robotic surgery, but I'm going to have to reschedule one more time. I called yesterday, and they weren't open either. All I got was the answering service.
sounds pretty nasty in your part of the country @pegasus216! Keep warm, stay safe and enjoy the cocooning!
(I am staying close to home today myself - nasty headache, canker sore on my lip (yuk) so I think I will log off and go back to bed!

Every morning for awhile now temps have been in low single digits Fahrenheit. One good thing I’ve read regarding the extreme cold brought on by the polar vortex we’ve experienced this winter, is the Stink Bug population is dying off at a rate of 95% compared to the 20-25% in the last few winters. I have remorse over the Stink Bug situation since I might personally be responsible in helping the infestation get started in the US. Ground zero has been determined to be at a Home Depot in Allentown, PA in 1998 in a shipment from Asia. That year I purchased a lot of shrubbery from there and planted them across three different counties on properties my family owned. Oops!

Minus 15 (real temp, not windchill) when I got up at 5:30. I don't remember it ever being this cold in March but it can stop anytime now! :surrender:

We're at 25 this morning. Supposed to get to 42 today.

I hesitate to say anything, so not to jinx it. But I have hope the cold air is just about finished. Yesterday we got to 48 but the thing that was different was that it was so darn hot in the house I thought someone had messed with the thermostats. It felt different, like spring was whispering, "I'm coming, hang on!" Not like it was just a temporary reprieve.

Kinda silly, really.

I'm holding you to it Cat. Your weather usually hits Becks and then makes its way over here. Please be right!

60 degrees yesterday. Glorious. Started to rain on the drive home, first a misting, then a drenching. Weatherman said we could expect two to four inches of snow as the temp dialed down overnight, making me grumpy, because my present assignment is in a town 30 miles and 45 minutes away, and that toughens up the commute.

Looking out the window now at 4:45 a.m. No snow, so no great surprise here, but the weatherman was wrong again. The neighborhood streets look wet, and I'm hoping that's not ice for the upcoming drive, but the current temperature is 30, so that's probably too warm for ice to form under the passing tires. Probably.

Driving to Texas tomorrow. Weather prediction has it pegged at just short of glorious, sunny and in the 60s. I sure hope he's right this time.
