We had a very mild winter. Today, it is 60F or 16C.Boston area. A lot of the 100+ inches of snow has actually melted over the last week but it's cold and snowing again today
We cleaned out our fish pond today and did some raking. I still want some more snow though lol.
They aren't there yet. The fishies are in their winter palace inside. They will be happy to go on their summer hols.
So did March come in like a lamb? (because it seem it wants to go out like a lion!)This is very weird. We had 16C today which is 60F. Now an alert for thundershows then snow .......... all of the seasons in 24 hours I guess.

Special weather statement in effect for:
Snow and strong winds tonight and Wednesday.
- City of Edmonton - St. Albert - Sherwood Park
April's weather in Alberta will begin on a note that won't be fooling around.
A low pressure system has formed over Central Alberta and is forecast to track east into Saskatchewan on Wednesday. Showers currently over the Grande Prairie and Peace River regions will intensify through the day and thunderstorms are possible near the low in Central Alberta this afternoon.
Tonight, precipitation will change over to snow in most regions with the potential for locally heavy snow. Given the instability with this system snowfall amounts will be highly variable, but some regions may see in excess of 15 centimetres of heavy, wet snow. The main axis of snow should be along a line roughly from Grande Prairie and Peace River to Lloydminster and Cold Lake. Snowfall warnings have been issued for the regions where warning-level snowfall is most likely. The Capital region will see some snow, and 24-hour amounts by Wednesday evening will likely be close to 10 centimetres.
As the uncertainty in the low's intensity and track diminishes, warnings may be expanded tonight.
Yep....from lamb to lion.So did March come in like a lamb? (because it seem it wants to go out like a lion!)
Right now, the wind is too strong to go to the backyard. Things are moving around so it is not safe. I shall enjoy the snow though. I have not seen enough this so-called winter lol.Be safe, Staro and enjoy the snow.
