No, but I did sing Do You Wanna Build a Snowman with Little Miss Sage. You win the snowball fight?
I think I just spit up in my mouth a little thinking about that coming here.We got our first snow yesterday. Just enough to lightly blanket the cars and lawn. 24F right now, feels like 13F and warming up to 54F today.
I know the feeling. I am not ready for it.I think I just spit up in my mouth a little thinking about that coming here.
That reminds me, I really need to get myself out of this state of denial and find someone to plow our driveway this winter as our plow truck isn't fit to plow anymore. If you look at it from the side, it has a definite V shape between the cab and the bed. We're lucky last year wasn't a heavy snow year or it wouldn't have lasted until spring. We held our breath every time my SO plowed, worrying that it would break down in the middle of the driveway so we wouldn't be able to get in or out until someone was able to tow it out.I know the feeling. I am not ready for it.
A bit of advice... If someone by the name of Lester Norville answers your ad for plowing, RUN FOR THE HILLS!That reminds me, I really need to get myself out of this state of denial and find someone to plow our driveway this winter as our plow truck isn't fit to plow anymore. As much as I hate the thought of it, we really do need a lot of snow this winter if we don't have much rain before the snow comes. We're currently in a moderate drought situation and another winter without much snow is going to start affecting wells.Ms. Mod had her first snow in August............

I was driving all the way home in the rain on Sunday and it was worse in MA but every little bit helps I guess. I could live with just a few big snowstorms followed by warm weather that melts it off in between!Yes, we are in the severe zone here now. Didn't get much of anything from Matthew's remains over last weekend. Southeast and MA did though so it helped those areas a bit. The deficit for precip. is now in double digits with no significant rain in the forecast. The problem with the snow is that unless you get a lot of warm weather during the winter it doesn't help until spring when it melts/thaws. So, I'm with you in hoping that the rest of this fall is a rainy one.
Snow blower envy?I need to replace the auger belt in my snowblower. I’m going to attempt it myself without any instructions in hopes I damage it beyond repair and have to get a bigger model. (better yet, I’ll just ask Sunny fix it ). My little 5HP Craftsman is almost useless in wet snow and I usually end up using it just as a plow. Every winter I watch with envy as people on my road throw snow into the next county with their Bindford 25HP three-stage beasts with dual overhead cams, fuel injection, and tank treads.
