It would be kinda fun to do something along the 'Weekend At Bernie's' thing......exceot the 'clients' would all have the same complaint- 'All she does is just lie there!'

Yes, such as the cig I was smoking, or a bit of tissue or paper from the room.
But you aren't always smoking. Yet I always have something at hand. Seems like anyway.

Confession: I didn't read the story either. After hearing the pronunciation in the movie, the potential spelling of it was driving me crazy (and that's a short trip, right there), and I had to go look it up.
