I'm a big fan of Stephen King even though I've only read two of his books

I'm sort of in the same boat. I've been a fan through the movies (Dolores Claiborne, Misery, The Shining, Carrie, The Stand, Shawshank Redemption) but only started reading the novels. That's kind of true what I just said. I tried to read Insomnia when I was younger, I think that was the wrong place to start since he says himself he didn't like it in On Writing. I'm savoring The Shining at the moment. I got Carrie on audiobook with Sissy Spacek reading it which is amazing but I had a weird experience listening to the period blood part while at the gym. The next three months I'm going to try to finish writing my first novel I've been working on for three years and pretend it's only been three months like On Writing suggests should happen. I need friends, will you guys be my friends? I'm so impressed with the ease for storytelling King shows in The Shining. I'm excited to delve into all this! And I totally agree about On Writing. It's like I've been hanging out with him all day the past two days. It's bordering on a delusional fantasy but now I've found this message board and real back and forth people! I'm excited.
youre making friends:)
