Seriously, Linda. Wow. Are you kidding me? You should charge admission! LOL

I love how you have the T-shirts framed behind glass. How did you come by the paperbacks display? Nice.
it wasn't easy. But my displays come from several book stores . Most plays just dispose of them. They use to give them out but have stopped as they have been found for sale on ebay. So it has spoiled that for everyone.:(:( I have several more tee shirts to frame. Looking like a project for either the garage or the extra bedroom.

Abit of a story here. Doc it is funny you should say I should charge. We go King treasure hunting to several stores. Most people cashiers get to know me. I had one of one of our hot spots suggest that we have like a museum day and charge admission to walk through my home. Not sure about this yet. I have had a few remarks that make me laugh. At Wal-mart I was buying a few King things and the cashier says that is my favorite author. I said mine too. She said she was a big fan,I said me too. So I told her I had my photo books of my collection in the car. So got them, showed her and she replied,I thought I was a fan until I ran across you.
Then back to our hot spot. One of the cashiers has seen the photo books and we been going there for a couple years now. So she was telling us about another fan. That said shes a big fan. So now she tells this other fan all kinds of stories about our house.A this bookstore we are knew as the creepy king people.(Just by the ones who don"t know us.LOL Then we have a used bookstore we have gone to for years. Afew cashiers now keep an eye out for King books I may not have.

Anyway this leads me to thinking about mixing to special things in my life together. My husband and I got married by the county clerk. We took our wedding and reception money to adopt our son and never looked back. Seems we have wanted to have an anniversary party but just never had the funds. This child needed this or that child needed that.Iam thinking in January having friends and cashiers I have met over to the house for the events. No charge of course. Perhaps snacks or a meal.

. Any opinions or ideas?

I think it is a super idea. One thing, if it were me I would do a help yourself buffet and have chairs in the area of the house you prefer them to sit. Just a thought

That's funny that you've garnered a reputation in your town.
I was joking about charging (sort of) but you could invite over friends and neighbors for a party and with a wink ask people for one dollar to view your collection. Heck, they can spring for two bucks if you're feeding them. Haha.
You'd make some extra cash and impress others at the same time.

Your collection is like an I Spy of awesome! How long have you been collecting? What an amazing passion!!! I totally agree with what others said, your collection could definitely be a museum. Your idea of holding a "meet the house" event for friends and cashiers who have gotten to know you is so sweet! Do you have an official tour planned to introduce people to your collection? For your January gathering it might be fun to stock the snack table with SK-themed items like book cookies, create a SK playlist, and maybe have guests bring a SK book or piece of memorabilia and hold a swap so everyone leaves with something special (besides great memories).
