When I clicked New Posts and saw a thread started by Srbo 35 minutes ago, I was so happy.
Just as I expected, another beautiful story written by a man who's probably seen more death and destruction than all of us on this board.
Yet, he still finds the beauty in this world...in his wife, his sweet daughter, the friends he keeps, and the friend in this story whose love was silent, but strong; shy and innocent.
Just as you think of her, Srbo, I'm sure she is somewhere thinking of you from time to time, wondering what happened to her sweet, innocent dummy...who's not so naive anymore, but whose wisdom and experiences have made him into a shining soul, a man who feels everything with his heart...a wonderful father and husband and friend.
Thank you, again, for helping me to see that my situation is, well, pretty good when I really think about it. Life doesn't turn out how we think it will, or hope it will, or even pray it will. But life does bring people into our lives who prove that love is beautiful. Your stories always do that for me. d
