I have never posted to an author site, ever, and I'm a little embarrassed to do so, but I was so moved by On Writing that I felt the need to connect. I'm just a boring corporate lawyer in the Deep South, where I spend my day drafting and negotiating mergers and acquisitions agreements*, so having the opportunity to live in Stephen's writing brain for 200-odd (too short) pages was better than an on-time departure from Hartsfield Jackson airport. A once-in-a-lifetime experience, and not one that will soon be forgotten. Thank you, Mr. King.
* The highlight of my writing day is to find six different ways to say "amend" or "assign" - lawyers never like to say anything just once, sorry Stephen, although - in better news! - we do generally shun adverbs.
