I took the train from Seattle one time. It was absolutely gorgeous. One of my most favorite ways to travel. Big seats. Big picture windows. Took absolutely forever to get to my destination, but I am so glad I did it. I hope you enjoy the experience. Let us know.

This train doesn't take forever. It only has stops in WPB, Fort Lauderdale and Miami. This train is designed to get to the major places quickly. I think when they get the Orlando leg done, there will only be one stop from West Palm Beach to Orlando. My county is trying to be that stop but they fought this train so hard while they were getting approvals, I would be amazed if Brightline puts the stop here. My county is why that stretch of I-95 from Fort Pierce to West Palm Beach didn't get finished until the 80s. :) We don't want anything. :)

We need a system like that on the west coast. The major N/S roads are parking lots. Very few major business to the north, so they all travel south- Tampa/ St Pete even Orlando. Have a neighbor who drives to Orlando daily. A 50 mile stretch from my area into Tampa can take up to 3 hours.

Or looking at different scenery, although I didn't have the same reaction as you to the scenery you were looking at either.
;)
Completely understandable. We all have different perceptions on what is considered ‘beautiful.’ Take this picture for example... I see amazing beauty, but I somehow think you would disagree.

Snakes are beautiful creatures, the scale patterns combined with their deadliness. A snake got into my fourth grade classroom once somehow (it was on the second floor) it wasn’t venomous and was only a garden snake no more than a few inches long, but everyone freaked out and the principal had to pick it up and take it outside.

Ms Mod may make you sit in the corner for that. :)

As a kid we often took the train into NYC, when it once ran through the town I lived in. I only remember the foul smells.

I went to Chicago a few years ago and stayed on State Street and used the subway to go everywhere. I was amazeed when the train would go above ground and fly by buildings seemingly only inches away (I'm sure it was a few feet but it seemed closer). The people that lived in those places must have stuff fall off the shelves all the time. :) You could look right into someone's window from the train.

I can appreciate their beauty but I don't want them anywhere near me and really don't even like looking at pictures of them. I wouldn't put anyone else in the corner for their not having a problem with snakes, though. Spoilers are greatly appreciated, however.

I sometime took a scenic train ride through the Poconos during fall to enjoy the changing of the foliage. It was on a very old steam train that was coal fired. We sat in an open car. You got coal dust in your eyes and had your clothes singed by hot coal dust billowing out of the smokestack and coughed the entire time. Trains have never been a fun experience for me.

This was the one...

Imagine sitting in an open rail car on cold days. Only did that once.
