Had to look it up also. Hope it gets under control.
Yeah it could devastate our grape, peach, apple and blueberry crops, and we're top producers. We're also number 1 in the US in hardwood. It doesn't look good for our vineyards, lumber, tree fruit, and landscaping industries at the rate they are spreading. It would be really bad here if places started banning those things from PA. We're pretty much required to immediately kill any Spotted Lanternfly's or egg sacks we come across. There are no natural predators here, and only humans are the known way at this point to control it. They first appeared in 2014 in Bucks County, and are spreading like wildfire. Currently 14 counties are under quarantine.

Just finished up business permit Spotted Lanternfly training. We’re in the quarantine zone. Failure to get a permit and training will result in fines in these parts. You’d think it was The Mist around here. But unless we do something there could be a ban on PA goods to the tune of $18 billion.

What are PA goods? Is that a crop. Good luck in any case!
