Nees!
where you at???
how'd the CT go?
y'all ok?
Hi there! I was off reading the story "The Walking Man' for next Wednesday June 5th.

He will not get the results of his brain CT for a few days. I guess we could call the doctor who ordered it to see if they found anything.

Either way he does go for surgery on Friday June 14th so he will probably still be in hospital for his birthday on June 17th.

Thanks for asking!

Prayers and good vibes for you and Andy, Neesy :love_heart:
Thanks - he is a stubborn old Scottish cowboy (still wears his black cowboy hat) so he should be okay. Plus (and I am not sure if I am supposed to be joking about this or not) - he does have TWO lungs, right? The wedge resection is on his left upper lobe.

But seriously I guess it is a good thing they caught it while it was still in the early stages. Thanks Cat

You joke as you need to. It's a coping mechanism. Best of luck to you both and be sure to keep us posted as the surgery draws near. (((Neesy and Andy)))

Sorry - that was quite a long story that someone picked (was it Bev Vincent?) - very unusual but a nice style of writing; I had never heard of Dennis Etchison before
I stumbled across him a number of years ago. He adapted John Carpenter's movie Halloween and Halloween 2 into books based off the movies. He wrote them under the name Jack Martin and they were both very good books, very spooky. I've seen them on Amazon and Ebay selling for quite a bit of money but I picked them up for something like a buck a piece at a used book store eons ago, probably the early 90's. He's a good writer.

Dear Friends, Thank you all so much for the well wishes for Pearl.
It is with a broken heart that I tell you my little Pearl passed away this morning due to septic poisoning from her injuries.
I rushed her to the emergency vet, but the bruising and lacerations were too much for her little body to handle. They allowed my daughter and I to say goodbye, and then I asked them to end her suffering. I brought her home and buried her on her hill where she loved to bask in the sun.

I'm sorry for your loss.
R.I.P. Pearl

I hope I word this with grace and respect.

I watch two little boys. Yesterday, we were outside riding bikes in the front of their house, I was sitting in a lawn chair micromanaging. (bwhahaha) . Anyway, out of nowhere, so quick, a little dog off leash came running up to them! She came around from the side of a house and boom! there she was. It scared the kids. It scared me.

I'm wrangling the kids and the owner comes lollygagging along like nothing is wrong. Her dog is supposed to be on a leash! And she wasn't calling it back to her! WTH! I love animals. But, they are animals and they will react badly in situations they are not used to and with people they don't know. Luckily, this little dog was friendly. But after what happened to Pearl, it was a huge smack upside my head that I have to be even more vigilant because as we see, some people don't feel the laws apply to them. It's all about what they want.

I just wanted you to know that Pearl's tragic attack has meant something to me personally, not only for the loss of your sweet baby companion and my love of pets, but as a reminder that I need to stay ever watchful. She didn't die in vain.

I hope I said that right and you understand what I'm trying to express to your family.
