My brother was over to Sweden for a week (lives in Colorado) and we took a roadtrip south like we use to do when i'm over. We visitid among other things Bjälbo church. Built around 1190. Churches from this time usually didn't have towers but this one has. The building served a double purpose. The main building was church but the tower was a defence thing. It has windows in every direction that are very narrow so that you can shoot with a bow out but it would be very difficult to shoot in. There are also rooms where the people could store food and room for people in crisis time. A combination of church and fortress. Christianity was rather new in sweden. There had been missionaries since 829 but the first King that was christened was Olof in about 990. Also several families fought about the title after that. Two generations after the church was built a member the family that built it would be King, His family are named after the church. The stairs in that over 800 years old tower is still functioning even if some steps are missing and you have to watch where you put your feet. Really a wings of history feeling. We saw many other things and also swallowed some good local beer. A good time!!

I am doing ok. Ihave now developed restless leg syndrome. Keeps me awake half the night.
My cat's name is Bethany. We just call her Bethy.
That sounds like you want to dance a lot [just kidding], but I know it's a real PIA - I found this, if it helps:

Hope you can see that if you're on a phone or tablet

I’ve had restless legs really bad since I was a teenager. Just recently got prescribed Pramipexole. It’s helped a great deal. I literally did not know there were any medications for restless legs. Never even thought to mention it to my docs over the years on the rare occasions I went before this last fiasco. No side effects at all that I’ve felt, apparently it’s a Parkinson’s disease medication that also helps restless legs. Might ask your doc about it. It’s helped me sleep better because my damn legs aren’t twitching randomly throughout the night. I take it at about 8pm because my legs start twitching as soon as I sit still for very long.

I didn't know there were meds for this, either. Sometimes if I double up on melatonin I will have RLS.

One of my docs asked me just offhand while I was in for a follow up if I’d ever had restless legs. He seemed kind of amused that I’d never mentioned it to any other docs. He said there’s several meds available for it. Who knew? I take Melatonin also, doc, I’ve never been able to sleep worth a damn but melatonin definitely helps. Makes for some really vivid and usually violent dreams though....

Good morning!

It is my husband's birthday today. :love_heart: He has to work but we are having all the family over for dinner and cake tonight.

Going to the mountains again on Sunday, for a few days. Probably the last time this summer. Kids start back to school on August 19, so by the time Scott's next 7 off roll around, they will be back in school! And just like that, summer is over. :(

Hope your day treats you kind. Have a great weekend and a good week next week too. Big hugs and positive vibes to all! :love_heart:
