Just had a serviceman from a water heater company come in - as he was heading downstairs it sounded like he was ready to replace the whole tank, going by my description on the phone.

Turned out it was just something called the temperature/pressure relief valve on the side of the tank that was leaking.

So 99 dollars for a service call and 50 dollars for the part - that's much better than around 1300 dollars for a new tank.

Plus my new loaf of bread turned out pretty good, so I am a happy camper today

OK, Tetmates, i'm officially angry right now. I'm just back from floorball (played really good, scored 6 of my times 11 goals) but ended it before time. I was standing before their goal and repeatedly got a stick showed in my back until i fell. This is NOT icehockey, this is floorball where tackles are forbidden. Ok, one time in the heat of the moment, we all make mistakes but many and he didn't even apologise. Said it was my fault for standing there. We shouted awhile then i took my my gear and went home. No fun playing anymore. Hope this feeling ebbs away to next week. I play because its fun, now it wasnt funny anymore. Sorry you had to take my outburst, i usually dont get angry, but i'm fuming alone at home and had to let someone know.

Sorry, Kurt. I would be angry too. I hope your writing it here has helped kurb your anger a little. Usually, typing it all out helps to vent my frustration. What also helps me is thinking of different ways that what happened could have been worse. It helps me gain perspective on the situation. In the meantime, have some cheese, a beer, and read a little SK.

I’m not the gentle soul you are. Sometimes you’ve got to fight fire with fire. I would have cracked his ankle with the stick. Said “Oops… Sorry… I guess we need to be more careful, eh?” He’d remember for a week or two. Agreed you play for what is fun for you. Obviously the other guy’s idea of fun is winning… rules be damned. Your fun is playing by the rules. I play by the rules until the other team decides not to. Then it’s do unto others as they do unto you. I’ve been throw out of games for it, but it does give one satisfaction.

Ok guys, I'm getting a tattoo covered up in the next couple of weeks, I'm just in the process of getting the design right with the tattooist, it does have some personal meaning but also there are some subtle nods to The Dark Tower, the tattoo will include a rose, a key and a pocket watch, I was toying with the idea of having the 'Ka' symbol in the place of a makers mark on the pocket watch, so will be there but just a small detail, the big question is, what time should I have on the watch?! I was thinking 7PM which would also be 19:00...Do you guys have any thoughts?

....you could have the numbers changed to runes and then nobody would have a clue of the time.......

Hello everybody.
Just dropping in to say Hello, it`s been a while.
Hoping you are all doing well and that you are finally enjoying Spring, it sure took a long time to get here.
We are all OK, thank God, nothing really special to say.
No news are the best news, right?
Working away on my novel, the kiddo is getting taller by the second and like all parents in the world, I`m wondering where the time has gone. But, there is still time to enjoy the fairy tale which her childhood is, I know that these are the best of times I ever had or ever will have, so I`m trying to enjoy every single moment of it to the fullest.
Wife is good, she is also saying Hi to you.
Other than that...we are trying to save up money to go and visit our family back in the old country, but I don`t think I can swing it for all 3 of us to go, the plane tickets are so unbelievably expensive and even though my biggest wish is to see my daughter and my Mom meet each other and watch how they spent time together, by all likelihood that will not happen this year, but there is a chance that two persons can go, so I would stay home and send my wife and kid to visit, I would have to wait.
Hoping you are all doing more than good, love you and think about you as always.
