Hi friend! Hoping you get your trip - it would be so good for your mom! Maybe a Go Fund Me page? I'd help!

Hello Srbo's wife!

Love to all!

Hello, dear.
No, no GoFundMe, I did that two and half years ago, people helped a lot, I got to see my mom then and I can`t and don`t want to ask people for money again.
Gotta swing this alone somehow, and if I don`t get to go, then I don`t get to go, I will be happy enough if we manage to send my princesses over there to visit.. :)

Somewhere over the rainbow
I just bought some clothing in a size I haven't worn
Since the days of long ago; before our sons were born.
It's the size I wore before I dated Mr. S.
Clothing sizes changed a lot in 30 years, I guess.

Please don't get me wrong! I must admit, it was a thrill
When the zipper on the khakis zipped... But, even still!
This is not the body that I had when this size fit
Even if you factor in the saggy, aging bit.

Clothing manufacturers told us a fairy tale
Easily disproven by the household's bathroom scale.
30 years ago, this size would not get past my hips.
('though that fact may not prevent some future shopping trips.)

Which, of course, is why they do it - tell us pretty lies.
It's more fun to purchase clothing in a smaller size.
But, I'll bet you anything, if I had vintage pants
In this size the zipper on them wouldn't stand a chance.

That made me think about Marilyn Monroe who was often reported as being a size 12. According to this article, she would be a size 8 in today's clothing because of her bust size but could have gotten away with a 4 or 6 for her hips.

Congratulations on the weight loss regardless of the size changes made by clothing manufacturers! It's even harder to do as we get older so that took extra effort on your part to get back to where you are now.

I have a question. So I know that some re-prints of older king books goes to help fund his many charity organizations. I was wondering which ones they where. I saw a new green mile that was a perfect size for me to read him in and I was wondering if that book whent to the charity funds.

He has given away probably thousands of books to charities (not his) over the years so I'd have no way of knowing if that's one of them or who might have donated it if it wasn't.

I agree - maybe I better stop baking bread (or at least eat less of it!)
