I'm starting to think it will be a not so white christmas this year. So far it has rained,no snow.
Also my christmas will be different this year. Usually i celebrate with my uncle (hes just 10 years older so its more like an older brother) and his family but this year his wife and daughter and more has gone to visit relatives in Dubai so it will be just him and me. Wonder if we manage to finish a christmas dinner between us... Hmmmm

I'm back from shopping. :) I found one pretty great deal at the grocery store. They were keeping a tally the last month and so I spent enough $ to get a 30% off coupon, good on housewares, toys, pretty much anything but food. I would have liked it off my food bill!

But they had an 8 pl setting set of dishes, regular $45.00. On sale for $13.50 plus my coupon brought it down to $9.45. For 8 place settings!

They are just plain white but look to be decent quality....my dishes have suffered calamities lately and every time I turn around something is getting broken so these will do nicely until I find a set I really want. :applause:

And I got a very nice ham for $13. :applause:
Woo Hoot!!

That would be pretty! These will be for every day use, but that would be nice for birthday dinners or even holiday dinners when I don't get the fancy china out.

I like the heavy stoneware like Pfaltzgraff but Scott likes lighter dishes. We have plastic ones we use outside in the summer, and if he has his way he eats off one of the plastic ones. :rolleyes:These white ones are not very heavy. I like the look of some of the Corelle designs, and they are light but silverware scraping on Corelle is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I'm using white Corelle and it keeps food hot for about two nano seconds.
