Well, there goes Ms Mod and my road trip from hell. And here I stocked up on Advil, booze and lots of drugs just for the occasion.
If some people wanted to get together on a Zoom call, I could host. It would have to be after hours US/MDT because it's our business account.

The thing with Zoom is that it's being investigated for some shady stuff going on behind the scenes. It's so insecure I don't know why schools chose to use it. I thought something seemed fishy about it when my mom asked me to download it, but my mom told me to stop being paranoid. What can I say? It's the American public school system, after all.
We use it at my university, it buffers more than myself and Dio in a bout with Ms Mod.
It does seem a bit questionable at moments though.

Some are password protected, but yeah, I don't trust it, not saying anthing risque over there.
They've fixed a lot of those security issues and there are things the meeting host can do to make sure the meeting doesn't get Zoombombed.

Yeah, we use Zoom a lot. In fact, it's about the only game in town at the moment for what we do. The security depends on the package that you buy. The free model, not so secure. The program we're on is HIPAA-compliant and has bank-level security. We password-protect our meetings. Haven't had a problem, and it's more robust, feature-laden, and easier to use than the other platforms.
They hacked me off, too, more about the data-sharing than the security issue. But I can't help but smile at the irony of people on Facebook complaining about news about Zoom data-sharing. Part of the world we're in now. Zoom said it would knock it off, but how do you ever know with anyone.
