Watched "Hunter Killer" this last weekend.....two hours of my life I'll never get back. Gerard Butler as the Captain of a US attack submarine. I kept hoping the Persians would show up and it was just bad opening for another Spartan movie but alas, no. Over the top to point of lunacy in some parts...lol

Doc Creed Watched 45 Years again. I can't even tell you how many times I've watched this. It leaves January 31 from Netflix so I will be watching it every day till then.

I'm so comfortable with it, it is my go-to back ground noise while I multi task.
I'm glad you told me about it. It's now one of my favorite movies of all time. Bravo to entire cast, screenplay, and director.

I saw a list of upcoming movies and there was one about Ted Bundy and Zac Efron is playing Ted Bundy.

Zac kind of looks like Ted Bundy.

Also, there is a movie about Anton Yelchin on the list that looks good.

I watched the trailer, it seems like it’s supposed to be an action comedy? It’s like they’re trying to make Ted Bundy a likable character, which is a bit strange.

And why do we love it? What is is it about the people and the story that make us love it? I would say this is a very niche movie I think. Not everyone will like it, understand it or make it to the end.

There is a voyeuristic quality to the film and the story is allowed to breathe; tension doesn't build so much as it gets heavier, like adding stones to a scale. As I've said previously, the movie asks the viewer to don their detective hat- that's an attractive quality in a movie for any jaded moviegoer. Lastly, for the most part, characters' emotions are silent screams, often merely expressed on the actor's face. It's a beautifully quiet movie, I think.

Watched Everything, Everything starring Amanda Stenberg and Nick Robinson. It's about a girl who suffers from that disease where you can't be exposed to any type of germs, etc. and must live in a sealed house. Nick moves in next door, she's likes the eye candy and they end up falling in love. Has a twist ending, too.

Theatre of Blood starring Vincent Price. It is quite a good movie and I think better that The Abomninable Doctor Phibes. I didn't know Diana Rigg is a trained Shakespearean actor. The ending is brilliant what the actor Ian Hendry says.

I watched Miller's Crossing last night. It's about Irish-American gangsters. I got a picture of my maternal grandfather on the wall and in the face he looks similar to
Gabriel Byrne, the actor. He had black hair, so did my mother. I had sought of red-hair which is a recessive black gene. My grandfather tried to enlist in 1914 at the age of 15 because his older brother did but his mother stopped him. It says on the enlistment papers under 'complexion' it says 'swarthy' but he didn't look swarthy.

Went to see Green Book on Sunday. Didn't even recognize Viggo Mortenson until my cousin pointed out that's who it was and wasn't aware going in that it was based on a true story. Even though it was somewhat predictable in what happens, it's one of those stories that is about the journey (literally and figuratively), not the destination. I'd recommend it and watch it again.

Happy Birthday to Me (1980) *1/2 Directed by J. Lee Thompson
Someone is bumping off members of a group of college kids one by one, through various nasty means. Could Melissa Sue Anderson, recovering from a car accident months before, have something to do with it? What could've been a halfway decent slasher picture is marred by unnecessary gore, unintentional laughs, and a preposterous twist ending that undermines the entire film. Glenn Ford is wasted as a sympathetic therapist.
