The Wall (1983), aside from the animated scenes, which were awesome, I didn’t really care for the movie adaptation of one of my favorite albums of all time. The way the sound was cut was annoying, there were awkward pausing in between the songs and some songs sounded different than on the album, which was annoying when all the songs on the original album transitioned into each other. Like I said before, the animated scenes were really well done. Other than that, I’ll stick to the original album.

I’ve heard that movie is best enjoyed whilst being chemically enhanced.....

I saw Avengers End Game. It was the longest film I've seen since Lord of the Rings. There were a lot of tedious and unnecessary parts that could've been cut. But all in all, it was a great movie. There were some sad parts, but it ties all the ends together nicely. I'm excited for Dark Phoenix next month. I also heard that Sophie Turner just got married.

I saw Alien when it was first released in a theater in downtown Seattle (I think it was the Cinerama?). It was the theater that had a screen with a curve to it and it was huge. I saw that movie about six times there and it never got old. Nothing beats seeing on the 'big screen' that creature burst out of someone's chest! :D
I don't remember the name of the theater either but that's where I saw it when it first came out, too! I've mentioned before that it added to my anxiety level that I was pregnant at the time.

Last weekend we watched

Triple Frontier on Netflix...Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Pedro Pascal, Oscar Isaac and Garrett Hedlund play ex special forces soldiers who plan a heist against a drug lord. This was a really great movie! And it had a kick butt soundtrack.

The Girl With All the Gifts. I liked this one too, it followed the book well. I think the ending was slightly different but I can't remember.

Hotel Transylvania 3. I love these kid movies. Love all the monsters and their mishaps. This time they are on vacation and battle the Van Helsings. Enjoyed it very much.

JAWS. I also watched the 50 minute documentary of the making of Jaws. I like how Steven Spielberg says in the doco that he saw the truck in Duel and the shark in Jaws as being similar. He also said that he got some of a dinosaur from a 1950's movie and used it when the truck crashes over the cliff and when the shark sinks down after it is blown up. Jaws is about number three of my all-time horror movies.

I thought seven was pretty good too, the thing about Pitt was he was a young hard charger detective, and not very receptive to Freeman's cautions.. I thought he did okay, but Freeman was the best.. and Spacey, he was quite good with a creepy performance..

Last movie I watched was the original Death Wish (1974) and I realized I am the same age now that Charles Bronson was in that movie, I looked it up.. I can't rock that 'stache tho.. also, there is a scene where he has his son in law over for dinner, and has repainted his apartment in a "cheery" kind of orangish peach color..and no kidding, my kitchen is still that color.. lol, too lazy to repaint it, but what the heck, it is bright in the morning.. :)

Being the father of a 19 year old Marvel geek, I have seen every movie in the so called Marvel universe, some of them multiple times. I thought while End Game was very long, it gave a nod to almost all the back stories while tying up the end in a neat little bow.

Only downside was I paid a shade over $8 for my betrothed to take a 2 hour nap.

She woke up for the last 45 minutes though.

First time I've seen the whole thing. Of course I knew the ending, and only watched a spot or two in between. So, decided I needed to watch the whole thing. Brad Pitt sucked in this movie. The only saving grace was Morgan Freeman.
Brad Pitt used all of his acting abilities here- his smile, his look of brooding and his over-the-top sobbing: 'What's in the box?' sob 'What's in the box?' sob ;)
