Best give up now, dear! I've tried just about everything to weasel my way into his good graces!Awesome, awesome, AWESOME kingricefan! I want to bask in their glory.......One question. How do I make it into the will?
The red books are from the Stephen King Library book club. I'm not a member of it, just have been slowly picking up copies of them when I find them in used bookstores.Wow, that is awesome. Question: Are the red books I see in the photos an encyclopedia set? I used to have a Junior set of encyclopedias when I was younger. I don't know what happened to them; I wish I still had them.
I didn't read through the whole thread, but someone mentioned owning "The Great Books." Let me say, that's pretty cool. I love going to the local library and flipping through those. Sometimes I'll read about philosophy, science, etc. I actually read a lot from Darwin's "On the Origin of Species," but this particular copy I think is from a different set of notable collected books, might be called something like Harvard Great Books? It
I'm going to use them as my funeral pyre, sorry......Awesome, awesome, AWESOME kingricefan! I want to bask in their glory.......One question. How do I make it into the will?

Hi Walter. I think the ones you're asking about are the Subterranean Press deluxe editions of The Shining. Actually, it's two of their traycases, one of which is empty. When the initial shipments of the limited edition went out, some of the recipients complained that their books were scuffed from the traycases. This edition did not come with a dustjacket, like the 'gift' edition did, so the book was exposed to the traycase. This wasn't the publishers fault, it was the printer who sentall the boks to Sub Press. Sub Press stepped up to the plate and offered everyone who ordered the limited edition a new traycase and even commissioned a brand new dustjacket (which is stunning!) and sent them to everyone. My copy of the traycase and book was fine when I received it and I emailed them and asked them not to send me a new traycae, but I guess Bill (the owner) mis-understood and went ahead and sent me one anyway. Don't know what I'm going to do with it tho. It's a pretty nice traycase but I have no use for it.What are the dark navy blue volumes, two of them lying on their side bottom shelf in the...possibly only dark-stained shelf? That's quite a collection! Have you built the addition, yet? Knew a man who had to build an addition to his home just to hold a collection...of heads... :eep: He was a hunter...all these record-book mounts, all taken with a bow...even a turkey or two.
