Ok so joyland wasnt one of my top favs. To me it just wasnt a page turner, for me it just didn't have enough mystery or horror or anything until the end. I had a hard time keeping interested. Was it a bad story?no it was ok,just not sk best work

I liked it. It was a bit of tearjerker near the end and I liked the love story aspect of it, the whole coming of age story and going out on your own into the world.

His description of the boy in his mascot costume was very good as well.

I love Joyland. Maybe because I'm a mom, but I found it highly emotional.

Dont get me wrong it wasnt a bad read i thought the ending with them having it out with lane was fantastic, i guess im used to sks more up beat hold on to your seat storylines. Its just not one id be in a hurry to re-read, does that make sense or do i sound like im babbling? Lol

Me three! I loved it. My husband was bored by it. It's not your typical King read, but I give it 2 thumbs up.

One of my favorites. I had to literally stop myself from reading it in one sitting because I wanted to make it last longer. Amazing story.

It reminded me a bit of Hearts in Atlantis. Not big on the supernatural, but one of the books that highlights Mr King's genius for writing human nature.
