I am so sorry for the loss and pain you are all going through and I wont pretend I knew Nate hardly at all...but I want to share what I did know. My first post here, I agreed with a point of view that was unpopular and boy did I get hammered for it...I had come here looking for a friends in a lonely point in my life...and I was pretty gutted. Nate reached out...said he understood what I had meant and was sorry for the response I was getting. It was because of him I ever came back and while I am not a super regular post-er, I like it here. Its people to 'listen' to when the night is long and quiet.I have had much comfort at times from that - and that comes down to Nate being kind, to a stranger. We chatted a few times but that is what I remember clearly. He must have been a very nice man and again...I am sorry for your loss everyone.

Thanks to all of you who have known him in person, for bringing him closer to us now that he is gone.
I spoke a lot to him here and on FB and sure would have loved to have a beer with him, put an arm on his shoulder...

I've been following the obit information on his local newspaper. Might be too soon for publication, but that should have info for contact or donations.

Nate was young, and youth often does not think about mortality. His decisions/ choices of last night in not way should take away from the kind and gentle man that he was. The good in his life outweighs anything said about the accident. He is part of us- forever, now to be one of the Eternal Members.
I didn't get to know him as many of you did and I am now beginning to see the positive impact he had on you guys. He seemed like a great friend and upstanding guy. It is good to put a face with the name, thanks Scott for sharing the Kon photos. My thoughts are with all those grieving for Nate tonight. So very sad.
...exactly!...some douche commented on the TV station site wondering why he "wasn't wearing his seat belt"...I truly hate our species at times like this....REALLY????...a seatbelt???...I'm sure Nate's family appreciates the sensitivity...

Terrible news. Any of us could go at any time. Hug your loved ones whenever you have a chance.
This makes me sad. I have his signature on a postcard, thank you Scott. I'm sorry for your loss. This place needs people who will take the time to reach out to others in need.
