Hi, any info on the e-mails that Eventbrite will send out? I haven't received anything.
They do not update me unless I ask so have not heard anything yet. It's possible that you haven't received one because you were not one of the 400 picked, though.
I don't believe they have sent out notices yet. No one has commented on this board or other board that they did or did not get a notice. This will make news one way or another. nothing on facebook either. Keeping up the hope! Keep on dreaming! and if I don't get a copy I just will refuse to believe it and continue to wait by my mailbox for my letter from MS Mod, My signed book by SK and my lottery check. I did give up on the money that the Nigerian Prince promised to send me if I help him get his millions out of the country, but everything else I still have faith in!

Yeah I was wondering about the emails for the signed books as well. I have not received one, but have not heard of anyone else getting one either. I would like to know one way or the other if they have even sent them out yet.
I sent an email and was just told that they have not yet sent out the emails and it may be tomorrow or right up until Friday before they are sent out.
Can't go to them all! I was wishing I had an excuse to go down there, but I knew it was not even possible so I didn't even bother look at when the tickets were being distributed! It would have been cool regardless if you get to see Stephen King or not. How could you not love a Bookfest!
A good friend of mine scored two tickets. He is not able to attend but said I can go in his place and bring my son. Any problem with the fact that it says his name on the tickets and not mine? I am planning on getting up at 04:30am to drive up to DC for the event, stand in line and hope my son and I get in.
It very well could be an issue. I'll check and see what they say.
Send me a private message with the name of your friend who got the tickets, your name and your son's, and I will send that to them so they can change the names and you shouldn't have a problem getting in.
Oh no. I have a similar situation. Will they really be checking tickets against IDs?
Yes. Send me the same information I asked for above and I can pass that long at the same time.
Got it and have forwarded your information to the Festival coordinators so hopefully that will ensure you won't have any problems getting in.
Just got my email that I was chosen to be able to purchase one of the signed books. But it looks like even tho I got two tickets I can only purchase one signed book. The email just came less than an hour ago.
Is there anyway you can confirm this Moderator ? As my other ticket holder would like to purchase a signed book as well. When I printed tickets for the event, there are two with separate barcode numbers on them. When I just printed my autographed book ticket, it was one.
My recollection is that it is only one book per ticket order but will try to confirm.
I was told only the person who placed the order and received an email would be eligible to buy one book so your second ticket would not be included.
