Both Wil and Sheriff Jones looked like they came out directly from an old movie. They were really well done.

For me Henry ended up looking too old, though. They had a good base on him, but letting his beard show aged him too badly. Yes, I know some 14-15 years olds have beards, but I think it would be a nice touch to emphasize his youth (he is just a kid, after all) by making sure no beard is seen at all. I would even suggest armpit hair removal or trimming (again, I know at 14 some or many boys already have body hair, but not all, and not so much). He did a good job with his acting, going from shy to bold, but I saw an 18 year old guy, not a young kid. The same goes for Shannon.

But I did like the movie. And I felt bad for the poor cow in the well.

Watched it last night. Really enjoyed it but second this:

Gah and eeek. So many, many rats. It was wonderful! I did have to fast forward through the parts with the cow though.

Probably the most faithful SK adaptation EVER. Not the best SK movie; there are quite a few better than 1922, but it's really good. I had only read it once when Full Dark came out, so it was basically new to me. Then I reread it yesterday and was really struck by how faithful it was.

A movie can never put you in a character's mind like a good writer can, but everything else was spot-on.

Watched this a couple weeks back. Man, what a great adaptation! I honestly couldn't think of anything I would have changed with it. Great choices for the actors, very faithful, super creepy. Thumbs up!

The actors were great....but not even they could prevent the boredom that was shared by everyone in my house that watched. It was tough getting through this one.
    The book is better.......way better.

    Damn Netflix!
They put out a film you can't get on DVD,and this one is worthy of just that!
I watched it,not knowing what to think or what it was about, and that fitted well with the surprises that followed..

What is it with SK and animals?
They just don't fair too well do they?

    Overall,great filming,acting and makeup effects
