I'm past the age where I want to go out and party with the other numb skulls. I'm staying home with the cats and finish up my binge watch of Twin Peaks. Like someone mentioned above- less chance of being hit by a drunk driver this way.

No plans here, either. Just stay at home and feed everyone junk food for supper. Maybe watch a movie. I doubt I will even make it to midnight. Gettin' old. ;-D

DiO'Bolic Lobster and filet mignon and wine?? Oh my that sounds mmmmm. Well, the filet mignon sounds good, no lobster for me, thanks. You said 7? ;;D

Hunkering down and going to bed early! It's my favorite thing to do. A friend texted me about getting together, playing some pool, drinking some cocktails. But really I just want to be home. Plus it's supposed to be very cold and snowy here New Year's Eve and New Year's Day. Not going out in that. Oh - the Twilight Zone marathon - I'll be doing that.

Black eyed peas, greens, cornbread and banana pudding New Years Day. Y'all come on over.

Whoops! I saw the other thread first and posted there. So, to repeat:

We'll be home, in all likelihood. Our tradition for the past decade or two has been to splurge for a bottle of Schramsberg Blanc de blanc and toast in the New Year. I'm sure cheese and crackers will be available too. All of this assumes, of course, that we're still awake.

Yup, 7. I'll start a nice cozy fire in the fireplace for you... That is if I ever get out of this place waiting to get an oil change. :)

Just gave up my seat to a young girl. She was surprise and thankful. Is chivalry dead?

You know it, baby! Only thing sweeter than me is my iced tea!!

Re: blacked eyed peas... I stocked up yesterday. As a kid, I used to sit and count them because supposedly each one equals one day of good luck in the new year. My folks made them for lunch, and I could randomly eat 100 here and there as the day went on. I was a weird kid. They humored me!

P.S. I don't count them anymore, just eat a good amount!;-D
