We have a very cool family owned seafood restaurant close to me that has been around 40 years. It's a tiny place with just a few tables. When the restaurant first started out many moons ago, it was only open on the weekends. The reason being that the owners fished and served what they caught. For a long time they didn't have a beer & wine license so you if you wanted wine or beer, you had to bring it yourself, which was ok with them.
It was kind of like going over to someone's house to eat (except you had to pay for it
). Now it's open all week and they serve the freshest seafood you can get. It's a great place but I don't eat there very often because it is so difficult to get in to the place.
