I probably should have included the link. The Peter Gabriel song captures this event as well as any. A bit eerie given it's largely from the perspective of Oswald with the ending even making him appear to be a sad and pathetic figure despite all the harm he unleashed:

Life In a Northern Town...not just for the oblique reference to the Kennedy assassination but for overall mood and implications. Dallas isn't a northern town, I know.
