I've been on the golf course twice this year... It wasn't good.
I am old and out of practice. Shanked my 7 wood.
Couldn't hit my driver straight - the ball kept going right,
Sailing off into the trees or rough and out of sight.

"Why would you keep playing golf?" I hear you asking me.
And, I must confess that it's a total mystery
Why someone would play a game so draining on the soul...
Unless you have felt the joy of birdying a hole.

Once you've sunk a tricky putt or hit a pretty shot,
Playing "in the zone" - it is not easily forgot.
Which is how the golf gods suck you in but, once you are,
They will make you pay in sweat and tears for every par.
Did you pull any Phil Mickelson stunts, Mrs. Smeej?

Yes. Very true. When you hit this beautiful shot(s), it makes it all worth it. I birdied a par 4 once. With witnesses! It was amazing.

...or you could just take an extra illegal whack at it like Phil Mickleson did....

They say that the course was extra rough and they no one hit a par under three. (I am not a golfer ...just repeating!!)
I'm not either, but since it was Father's day weekend, hubby had the US Open and soccer on all weekend! They also said it was better in the morning and the folks in the afternoon just keep getting worse scores. Oops!!

Hello, all. I need your help. Facebook has enlarged some of my photos and I can't figure out how to fix it. Is there a simple trick to it? The one I just shared is appearing normally here but not on Facebook. Yes, I have the originals to some saved on my device. Thanks for your suggestions.

Thanks, this does address all the problems I've been having but not how to obtain original jpeg or image. When I have more time I will do a narrower search.
I appreciate the link because it answered some other questions I had.

Sorry to be a damper Doc, but I believe once you upload to Facebook and it resizes the image, there isn't a way to retrieve the original. Try this link below though, and see if you get lucky.

retrieve original photo after uploading to facebook - Google Search

I have many friends from university who moved to the US because of work opportunities. These include a dietitian, a dental hygienist, and an x-ray technician. They filled out all the proper forms, got their references together, paid their fees, and whatever else. They spent months, if not years, getting their paperwork in order. That's all I'm going to say about that issue.

....AC Unit in the house went out....have to replace...2,700 bucks....can anyone deduce why GNT is not a happy GNT today???.....
Our AC went also. Tech said we will be needing a new Heat Pump soon so we better start saving. Said ours is over 18 years old and they can't even get parts anymore to fix it. Luckily he said it might just be a slow leak of coolant at the present time so he could put more coolant in and see what happens. $600 dollars worth of coolant later, fingers crossed, and we're keeping our cool... for the moment.

....ours had a leak in the coil that was irreparable...couldn't even weld it....on the plus side, I saved 50 bucks because they didn't have to put a new pad down....whee!....still gonna be a long and lean 18 months gettin' the damn thing payed off.....

Hi Doc, when you uploaded your images to FB was it from your phone or a laptop/other device?

Doc, I've just done a test with an image I had uploaded to my FB wall and I'm wondering if while the images are displaying on FB, it is an optical (FB) illusion that they are enlarged? Because when I right-clicked the image and opened it in a new browser page, it was enormous.
So I then saved it to my desktop and checked out the properties (and also in an image re-sizing program) and the image is exactly the same size as it was when it was snapped by my phone.

Can you try this with one of your photos on FB and see if you get the same results?
