I am thinking that I might have been a bit of smart butt today. My boss stated that she needed to see me for PE. I replied back that we are going to do Physical education. LOL!! Actually PE stands for performance evaluation. )

The convience store near my house that’s always been there just recently chcanged from a Cornerstone to a Circle K, the change from yellow to bright red really messes with my head as im always used to seeing it in my peripheral vision

I am not going to complain about long trips...I just heard how many years that the Mars Rover has taken to reach Mars. (They might have had some construction around Uranus) LOL LOL!
....so, I came up with another of my crack-brained theories....others have wondered why so many of the "Old Gang" have gone MIA.....I think it's a combination of things...life, the Board Update(for some reason)and the weekend shutdowns in addition to more frequent closures....this isn't a gripe m'dear lady Moderators, just a thought......y'all deserve time away...but it could be off-putting to some that don'y fly the SKMB colors in our hearts like the core that is here everyday.....
I’m going with they got lazy and the Langoliers ate them.
Life and the changing world which has made life more complex for many. Free time often spent on the SKMB is now spent with jobs, further education, challenges.
There was a time when the SKMB was open only from 8:30 to 4 Monday through Friday; a time of total moderation for all. Yet the SKMB grew in members. The world moved one. The time of "immediate"/ "now" is upon us. Patience has been set aside. People drift to that life-style.
Remember when one had to sit down with paper and pen and write( yes, actually write) a letter. Mail it - wait for delivery and a response.
Remember when people sitting at a table, or walking side by side actually spoke to each other face to face, not via text.
The world moved on........ instant gratification.
No matter what- this place, given so freely, is still the safest and most unique form of "social media" available.

I’m pretty sure I saw someone else post something about it in the website thread, but the “insufficient privileges” message thing is really off-putting to new members who have not yet realized the board closes for weekends
