A lot of older artists and celebrities enjoy newer stars, or are even in turned inspired by them. Paul McCartney’s recenter album is noticeably inspired by post 2000s pop. Even Heavy Metal icons have listed modern artists they like in interviews.

Did I say it was a masterpiece? Does it have to be a masterpiece? Was that the point? No. The point is that one of the most legendary musicians of the past 100 years, a member of the most iconic band of all time, who invented and inspired many of your favorite musicians, who in turn inspired many more musicians, clearly enjoys music of all kinds, and was inspired enough by younger musicians to put new styles into his own album.
