I work with a Filipino woman whose English is very poor and I also find this is affecting the way I talk. She leaves out the letter s when it is needed and adds it when it isn't. She says things like "lottery lotto" and other redundant phrases. She will say the basic verb and forget to add the -ed or -ing ending. She says "can you able to come" and mispronounces half her words. She is the only other employee in my immediate work area and I see her 40 hours a week.
