Quick answer, don't think about this.

What are your first thoughts when you see a middle aged woman at a movie alone? What are your thoughts when you see a middle aged woman eating a 2x2x2 breakfast at ihop alone?

First impression! Be honest.
For both: good for her! :)
I also used to so that all the time. I know it is a social taboo, but it really shouldn't be. Why should I spend time in my apartment, just because I don't have friends with the same taste in movies as me, or different schedules? I even go to concerts and bars alone, if I can't find company. (Last summer I travelled to Italy alone, to go to a concert alone. I did meet friends during the 4 days, but for most of my meals + the concert I was on my own)
And, I would rather go alone, than with someone I am not totally comfortable with ;)

Me: Someday I will have that luxury!
That's my honest first impression. But if I thought about it for a bit, I'd go with skimom2's answer. Here in this life of mine, I don't get much time alone. I'd treasure a moment or two.

Woman on her own at movie.... well I happily take myself off to the cinema to watch something if I fancy it. In fact I wish they showed more during the day so when I get a rare mid-week day off I could indulge, and get back for school run but they don't, more's the pity. The lady and the big brekky... I've no idea what an I-hop is but i'm guessing it's a fast food place. And I have to say I never go in them so I just wouldn't see that.

An IHop is a walk-in, sit down restaurant that is known for breakfast foods.

I also need to clear up, a 2x2x2 can also be real eggs and pork bacon (which this eater ate.)

Well in that case, if I was peckish i'd want to sit down and join her. Can't beat eggs and bacon for brekkie!! I've been known to sit down to a Fat B**tards breakfast at our local café, sausages, bacon, black pudding, fried eggs, fried toast, mushrooms, tomatoes, baked beans and sauté potatoes. And toast on the side. Freshly cooked and yummy!!!!!!

A Fat B*stard's Breakfast! That is good - I was told that it was called "A full Scottish breakfast" when I was over there. (I guess you could substitute English or Irish for the Scottish part). Your description is better - I can just picture the guy!

By the way IHOP stands for International House of Pancakes.

Probably vaporizes and pollutes the air! I liked the taper candles that dripped-always thought the melted wax looked pretty (kinda gothic and romantic!). Don't think you can even get them anymore. :(
I think you can still get tapered candles. It seems that the wax in a candle which is in a container must evaporate, but that would mean a person would be breathing was in a gaseous form, plus you'd think it'd be on the ceiling and walls.

Can you still get the ones that drip though? You know, the kind they used to put in Chianti bottles in little Italian restaurants? I seem to only be able to find the dripless ones! I haven't looked online.

Anyone here have a friend who's bi-polar? I do and I swear sometimes she makes me think I'm crazy. I've learned to tell when her meds need adjusting, but no way in H3ll am I suggesting it. I'd like to leave her an anonymous note, but that would really freak her out. If YOU'RE bipolar, would you mind if someone told you seem like you might be slipping?

I think all candles which are not confined to a container will drip, especially the tapered ones which have no flat surface to collect the melted wax.
