My elementary school still showed old Dare PSAs. I love how they acted how random strangers would approach you and try to turn you onto drugs. Dare failed because teens began to associate drugs with rebellion. Also the fact they compared relatively tame drugs like marijuana as if they were as dangerous as Heroin or crack, making impressionable youth think “Hey this weed thing is harmless, I bet heroin is harmless as well”
