Hi Maddie,

I appreciate your help and link thank you. But it is not the film I was trying to find unfortunately.

Regards,

Paul

hi Paul,

Yes I thought surely that couldn't be the one you are searching for as there is no Hansel and Gretel type setting, and with Willem Defoe the one film you are also not searching for, is the only one that is everywhere.

does this photograph of Christopher Walken from a 1999 film look familiar ? I'm not sure there were vampires but it had the dark fairytale feel to it.

Hello Maddie,

I just realized that I have seen 'Sleepy Hollow'! Its about the Headless Horseman.

So it is still a different movie that we are looking for here!!! A bit of a nightmare search I agree!!

Much appreciated,

Paul

hello Paul,

I thought that might be the case but the timing, costume and setting were all so perfect. I looked thru the complete filmography lists of each actor and don't see any that match. I found an erotic thriller with the two of them together and had to laugh. Perhaps another actor resembles the two of them, but , I have stumbled upon very many interesting fairy tale thrillers for sure, just not yet that one that remains a mystery. :rugby:

sincerely

Yes Maddie,

Its a shame it was not the movie. It looked liked it could have been!

Maybe, as you say, the movie featured an otherwise similar male actor?

I appreciate your kind assistance here.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi folks,

Some years ago, I read a short story contained within a Stephen King collection which was about a person(s) who drive out into the country and becomes helplessly lost - driving round for hours and ending up in exactly the same point each time!

I thought the book was SKELETON CREW (which I recently purchased), but it does not seem to be in there?

I wondered, please, if anyone knew as to which book/story I am referring to here?

Many thanks in advance . . .

Best,

Paul David Seaman (UK)

I can't believe no-one on an SK fan site still hasn't answered this query!

The story you're looking for is: "You Know They Got A Hell of a Band", from the collection Nightmares & Dreamscapes.

You're Welcome :)

...I say welcome, and I beg to differ....that couple drove for hours, but they sure ended up somewhere and it wasn’t their starting point....
