Welcome again, Jimbee.I don't know if any of you are interested. But a while back, I had this book, Yes, You May Have the Recipe. And it had this recipe for Peanut Soup. It is apparently a regional dish, in the US. (Although I live in Michigan, and I've certainly never heard of it.) Anyways, after studying it further, I realized it is basically Chicken and Rice Soup, plus about a half cup of Peanut Butter, plus something hot. (Yes.. uses Curry Powder--which I highly recommend. It is divine, with Curry Powder, in fact.)
Anyways, I never made it from scratch. But I have had it from time to time with canned Chicken and Rice Soup (two cans, condensed or not condensed, is what I use.) It also would make a good vegan dish, I think. Amy's canned soups make a good chicken and rice, I think.
But Peanut Soup in the U.S. Has anyone else ever heard of that? As I said, before the book, I certainly didn't.

The easiest one I know was one I got at a Weight Watchers meeting.Have a request from all the great cooks on this MB. I bought my oldest daughter a slow cooker for
Christmas and need SIMPLE recipes to give to her. Sarah is not the greatest cook in the world so
the simpler the better. Anyone willing to PM me, or put in this thread, a recipe or two I could give
her? I have been searching the internet recipe sites for over a week and have come up with 4. So
I am begging for help . Thank you, thank you, thank you members of SKMB
That looks delicious - welcome to the SKMB Corme1971This is my favorite recipe.

She does not specify if you need to use the special lasagna noodles (No cook or no boiling required) or just the regular ones
It does suck up a lot of moisture so I would be sure to add lots of sauce to make up for it
Good Luck!

Thanks! I will write it in her new recipe book. Think I am going to title the book 'Keep in Simple, Stupid', she
will get a laugh out of that.
Thanks, Neesy She had asked me for my lasagna recipe a while back and when I started to read it out to her she
said 'forget it Mom, too much work. When you come to visit you can make it'. That's my girl
I have a couple that I really like. Soon as I get home this evening, I'll be happy to share.Have a request from all the great cooks on this MB. I bought my oldest daughter a slow cooker for

I remember this recipe.....it's great! The easiest one I know was one I got at a Weight Watchers meeting.
2-3 chicken breasts
1 jar salsa
cook on low for 6 hours
When I make it, I use the mango salsa from the produce section at Walmart and add some red pepper flakes to give it a hot/sweet flavor. Great over rice!
It might take longer to cook but I don't see why not--in fact, I think I have on occasion when I'd forgotten to take it out of the freezer. Just be sure to test the temp of the chicken before eating.I remember this recipe.....it's great!
Been meaning to ask......is it okay to use frozen chicken?......as in straight from freezer to crock pot?
Wow all that looks so delicious!
