Hi all. I'm new to Stephen King and his works and have been loving everything I've read so far. I started off strangely enough with Roadwork and also finished The Stand and IT. All were amazing to me. I just picked up Desolation and was wondering what I should read after I finish that. His library of work is so extensive with so many great books it's overwhelming to find what to read next. All I know is whatever I read I can't put down!

Welcome Sezz85, nice to have you here with us.
(I think you might mean that you've just picked up "Desperation"? :biggrin2: ) You could read The Regulators after Desperation, you might find some interesting links.

Welcome Sezz! The nice thing about Mr. King, is that no matter which book you choose to read next, you will most likely love it! Let us know which one you choose, and how you like it.

What Flake says. Also, any other book or short story that you haven't yet read would probably suffice.

you should definitely do regulators right after desperation. after that the world's your oyster. everything he writes is pretty good.

I'll echo the Gent's advice. If you're in the mood for shorter reads (after IT and The Stand you must be) try this:
How did you happen to read Roadwork first? Interesting choice. I liked that novel, myself. It sounds like you did, too. Welcome.

    You probably mean this one:

To be honest I have not read either Desperation or the other one by Bachman "The Regulators" (I own these books but neither one really appealed to me)

I enjoyed 11/22/63, Joyland, A Good Marriage, Big Driver, Apt Pupil, Misery, On Writing etc. etc. One of his short stories "Crouch End" is quite creepy.
