I went with Green Mile. That movie was EXACTLY as I envisioned it when I was reading the books........
AAAGH! That was tough! I went with Misery, though Green Mile is a very close second. Shawshank was good, no doubt, but there were too many changes and too much simplification of the characters for me. That they are complex--no one purely good or bad--is what draws me to that particular story. The movie had a Jesus complex (in my opinion, of course) that made it too pat.
Seeing as this is favourite MOVIE got to go with the Shawshank Redemption. Love that movie especially when Andy takes over the PA system and everyone stops and listens to the music. Gets me everytime. So lets get busy living or get busy dying....

They're all three very good movies, arguably the three best sK adaptations. I chose Misery due to it being a movie I loved before I even realized it was from a sK book, as well as the fact that it includes one of my all-time favorite acting performances (James Caan), that it was so scary and unique, and that the screenplay was written by William Goldman, a long time favorite novelist and screenplay writer.

I think they are all great movies. Shawshank is one of my favorite movies period. I love everything about it.
Ohh that was mean because they are all very, very good, but I went for Misery because I enjoy the twisted personality of Annie and her way of showing him how she was his number one fan.
Shawshank. Everything about this movie is simply brilliant.....

Misery' hands down. I loved all of the actors in this film. There were parts of this film that made me hold my breath or gasp in shock. It touched all of my sweet spots.
