You remember more than me. We like the same sorts of books, sounds like. I've read most of the Bosch books; they are the most realistic cop books I've found (I absolutely HATE Wambaugh). Bosch is one of the best "flawed heroes" of modern literature. I love Reacher too, even though they are highly UNrealistic - basically Murder She Wrote for men. I have read a few Baldacci, although he tends toward the political thriller, which I don't like too much.
Big fan of Lawrence Block, Tim Dorsey (Serge is another great flawed hero, although HE doesn't think he is!), Stephen Hunter, Jeff Lindsey (can't wait to see what follows Dexter.)
