So I have two performances coming up.
Back on stage for the annual performance of the musician's workshop I participate in. That is going to be May 19th. Only playing in one band for that gig this year.
Been sitting in on bass and playing a little guitar for a friend's for fun band. He has a big summer blowout every year and several bands play in the back yard over the course of the day. My musicians workshop band might play this party as well. That should be sometime in August.

I have proposed that my workshop group use the name Multiple Organisms for our Showcase performance.
We are doing mainly alternative rock / punk songs so we need an appropriately snotty punk rock name

What genre would you describe your own band’s music as swiftdog? I assume it’s rock but isn’t it like alternative, progressive, jazz, or some other subgenre of rock?
Yes, I did use the new Charvel! She plays like a dream and sounds awesome. I was breaking it in during rehearsals for the showcase as well as practices with the band I will be playing the house party in August with.
The house party band played the showcase too but with an instructor playing bass for them instead of me. I just didn't have the time to add another session into my schedule with work, school, my own workshop band, and their weekend practice sessions. Their singer is awesome, though. She has a great voice. Their band was not as tight as mine but they didn't have me on bass
Well, that's not entirely true as the instructor they had is a way better player than me.

Naw but I could probably give you a 30 minute course to catch up on all the new modern slang terms
swiftdog2.0 when did you start learning how to play guitar? I tried to learn it for about a year and a half but I was struggling with it and my parents had to cancel the lessons because it was too expensive to keep up with and didn’t line up with my school’s active hours at all
