....well said my friend....I like them both, and will not choose between the two. They are representative of the two rawest, elemental sides of rock n' roll: The Beatles are about Love, The Rolling Stones are about Sex. For me, it's unfair to pit the two against each other because every single person who has ever picked up a guitar or drum-stick has been influenced (whether they want to admit it or not) by those two bands. They will always be the two greatest rock bands ever to me.
Yeah, when The Beatles wanted to marry your daughter, the Stones wanted to burn your town.I like them both, and will not choose between the two. That was more their earlier albums, The Beatles had a lot more songs expressing sex and violence in their later albums; examples being Helter Skelter, She came in through the bathroom window, Why don’t we do it in the road, Maxwells Silver Hammer, etc..Yeah, when The Beatles wanted to marry your daughter, the Stones wanted to burn your town.
Right. I love "Angie," which Jagger pronounces like it's An-gi-eh.That was more their earlier albums, The Beatles had a lot more songs expressing sex and violence in their later albums; examples being Helter Skelter, She came in through the bathroom window, Why don’t we do it in the road, Maxwells Silver Hammer, etc..
The Stones also had some more of the wholesome love songs like Angie.
Ain-geh Aiiiiin-gehRight. I love "Angie," which Jagger pronounces like it's An-gi-eh.
Yeah, it's more like Ain-geh. When my wife first heard it she was completely thrown by his accent. My father, on the underhand, believed he was an amazing singer. Go figure.Ain-geh Aiiiiin-geh
How does one not like Mick’s accent?Yeah, it's more like Ain-geh. When my wife first heard it she was completely thrown by his accent. My father, on the underhand, believed he was an amazing singer. Go figure.
Thanks...Haha! While Jim Morrison may have been a musical genius, he was also an egotistical jackass. I like my heroes to be more real.
