I'll leave the light on for you!!
I'm glad this week has come to an end. People are coming into town for The Valley Fair, the Wooly Worm Festival, Appalachian's home game, and leaf peeping. Traffic sucks. They hired a new girl at work, and the rest of us are questioning if she has a cosmetologist license, because she's completely clueless. Had to ask how to hold hair to cut it....in front of the client. Then she had to ask how do do a coloring service.....now, I'm as willing as anyone to help or give advice, but when I say that she knows nothing, I mean that she doesn't even know how to measure color and developer. I had to show her the ounce marks on the bottle, tried to explain toner processing, and basically did all the brain work for her and the girl still did it wrong.....twice!
Had to talk with our manager about it yesterday, and thankfully, some of the other girls had also expressed concerns. We can't have clients leaving with bad hair. We all work very hard for our clientele, and our reputation.....one bad comment can undo years of good work. Manager understands and is going to have a chat with the new girl.
The work day ends at 3:30 today. The country boys will be hanging out at my place all weekend. Y'all come on by.....have a cold beer, or some cold Southern Comfort......leave your troubles out at the old tree......we'll leave the light on for ya.
Is that what they call the Wooly Bear Caterpillar down there?I love that y'all have a Wooly Worm Festival.
...I do the laundry and it's the "dump the whole mess in and wash it" scenario...the wife isn't amused by her "gray" delicates......Yikes! Don't want any lint or white fuzz on my black Lulu Lemon pants - yup - I separate the whites from the darks - works great for me.
Thanks - hope you have a good weekend too!

...the kid or the sloth??.....When my oldest was a little boy, I decorated his room in jungle theme. It was a picture perfect place. And, he had a stuffed sloth hanging in his room. (stuff animal, not real animal) . We still have him too.
Up here in the wilds of Canuckville we're a bit behind on the latest terminology too!I guess. I come from the high-falutin' eastern end of the state!
...great minds!.....Your son or the sloth.

Your son or the sloth.

Well, I actually have the sloth in my possession. The child has flown the coop. I got to visit with him in his natural habitat though, and he is well and thriving.
But, shhhhhhhh, talk softly and don't make eye contact -- he's skittish and will hide behind the nearest hipster.

You never seemed so happy when I gave you a lollipop......She's not so bad, I told her to take a little off the top. Now I'm set for Halloween as Kojak! She even gave me the lollipop for being such a good boy!
It's an embarrassment, really.....but it attracts a lot of people willing to spend money.I love that y'all have a Wooly Worm Festival.

They've decided that she's basically going to watch us for a few weeks, because she needs to brush up on her skills.
Yep Neesy, that's the varmit....... they have an entire weekend dedicated to it, and even race the things. The race winner gets to predict the severity of the weather for the winter......Is that what they call the Wooly Bear Caterpillar down there?
My son took one of these into school once for show and tell - by the time all the kids were finished handling it, it looked more like a Skinny Bear than a Wooly one!

Well, you didn't seem like a Tootsie Pop kind of guy.......That's because you gave me a Dum Dum.........
