Happy Birthday to Becks kiddo!

Becks and Linda.....have they extended the school year for your kids due to all the snow days?

Some in Mass. have had their spring breaks cancelled because of all the snow days.....

No, our Governor signed a bill giving us 4 more calamity days. The schools have also assigned( massive) online makeup work that they call Blizzard Bags. These count as a full makeup day of school. We were allowed 4 of these to use as well.....Otherwise, they were going to extend our school year by another week or more! My girls were bummed at that prospect. Thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! I cannot believe my baby is going to be 12!!

Enjoy the next year or two before the terrible teens kick in. I was ready to give both of my daughters away in the years between their 13th and 16th birthdays because they were so obnoxious--definite need of an attitude adjustment! Fortunately for all of us, they snapped out of it. ;-D

I really envy everyone who is getting spring break next week. My kids aren't getting one. They are calling Easter break their spring break. Poor kiddos could really use a breather! Enjoy!!

I think what the school district did was cruddy! Poor kiddos is right...Grr! (It isn't fair to penalize the kids due to circumstances beyond their control)

They haven't here. Infact they get out May 20 something for summer break.

Thank you both.

My son doesn't get out until June 20th. Was supposed to be the 11th. I'm not going to mention May 20th to him.....LOL

Going to be a weird weekend. Got the house all to myself, my wife and son are headed out to visit her folks. Just me, the dog, the fish, and the cat, if he decides to make an appearance. I like time to myself, since it's so rare, then the house gets so damn quiet without a 9 year old hurricane running around and my favorite lady in the world to talk to. I'll just talk to the dog, she'll listen, and is probably use to me muttering to myself just like my wife is....
You could try cooking with bourbon.....

The lack of a spring break isn't because of snow days, that's just how they built the year. We've only had 2 snow days, 1 of which they will be making up at the end of the year. I think it is due more to the many early release days the kids have, usually at least one a month, and the "professional days" they have that allow the teachers to play catch up. I think they have reduced those for next school year, so maybe they will get an actual spring break AND an Easter break.
