It took me a while just to read ev I missed... yeah, I am compulsive. So... I luuuvd the wood ceiling, I can just smell it from here. I so want to roll in the smell of raw wood, don't you? I also admire anyone can work with their hands, my idea of working with my hands is putting in a lightbulb, I mean, serious... I have a cupboard door in the bathroom that has been off for a couple months. So... I don't know if I will be able to post when you guys are online for awhile (sigh) Oh, when you mentioned the Dodo, o, I thought of Alice in Wonderland, and then I had to go back and read the Walrus and the Carpenter... gawd I love that poem. Its so nice and Stephen King-ey. Really, the first ZOMBIE story...ha, (or wait, walruses aren't Zombies... and tech eating oysters not cannibalism, so, nope, nope, not anything the same... I knew I shouldn't try to post this late...) AND then I had to go back and read Jabberwocky, oo I lov that one too.. O, so I live in WISCONSIN ok? But even more astonishin', I came here by way of California. yep yep, the horror... My first year here, wus 40 degrees (Below!) zero. I ripped all the skin off my left palm opening a car door with my bare mitts, and also (this is a TRUE story) broke off a nice chunk of my hair getting into a taxi with wet hair. It just broke off, CHINK! Taxi man says, hey, was that your HAIR? yes... wus. He took me home with this hopeful look on his face. I'm pretty sure the idea of my total idiocy had him hoping for a big tip. (well, he wasn't disappointed 'bout the first part...) OH blurg.long post, broke my promise! :angry_002::argh: ok.. soooo. going to bed. yeah...

Stami Romur. Weird. And what does this have to do with Star Wars?
Not a lot, and you may think me paranoid but it could be a very subtle way of getting quite personal background details from people.
I don't know about the rest of the world, but in the UK "your mothers maiden name" is quite often one of the things used as an on-line identity confirmation. Be careful my friends.

Yup, yup... I wasn't touching this one. (Guess I'm a bit paranoid too.... :a11: )

Hi Flake, glad I'm not alone in my thinking.
And it's not just this one, other similar innocent bits of fun in the past have already "harvested" day, month and year of birth amongst other details. A simple but clever bit of software to pull it all together, and shazam.... your identity is no longer confidential.

Hello everyone. I cry your pardon for being so scarce. I'm still dealing with some health problems so I'm not able to stay at the computer for very long. And when I do get to be on it, I'm usually writing. I write for a different online political website, now (still liberal, though). PM me if you're interested. Even though I can't stay and read everything or post everywhere, I do check in as often as possible.

I thought of that, but since they only ask for the first two letters, I didn't figure I was divulging too much. I mean, a dedicated identity their can find out more than that about me with 20 bucks and an online background check.
The joke would be on them, anyway. If they want my student loans, they can have 'em.

We're scheduled to sign a contract today to sell the rental. Not quite for what we want, but it's for a couple who are coming back from struggles, are enchanted with the bungalow, and we'd like to help them out. Gosh, I'm such a tough negotiator.
I think that's great. It gets the rental off your hands and gives hope to a family that sounds like they could use it. It's a karma win/win.

That's awesome! I know a family who needed a hand with that - their credit was shot, they had cash but no accounts. They'd lost everything in the downward spiral. Finally someone did just that, and they are on their way back to being OK. It's a good thing, what you did there.
