Hi Everyone,

The fourth story we will discuss is 'The Night Flier'. In my hardback copy pages 109-146, with an additional nugget of gold on page 802.

Someone mentioned last week about the specifics of the plan in Dolans Cadillac (made them feel a little lost); I experienced this same feeling at a couple points during the story. The first point when Dees cut his arm and face with his pocket knife. (Why? To appear more banged up? To lure with the scent of blood, knowing the NF would be attracted to it?

Stephen King really does paint his characters beautifully. I don't understand why Dees was so intent of finding the Night Flier. Was it for the 'big break' or to 'complete a job'or the 'thrill of the chase?
All of the above! I knew he would come to a bad end-didn't expect him to even live! Since he was such an unlikable guy, I wasn't too invested in his destiny. It was nice to see him become more "humanized" at the end.
