I think this would be the perfect thread for a Mrs. Smeej poem!
Where is she anyhow?

I do kind of understand how a lot of people don't really get that what they are asking of Stephen King when they ask him for "for specials" is unreasonable. They adore him, but do not read the FAQ.
Maybe their singular adoration for hims leads them to think no one else feels compelled to ask him a question or ask him for a favor... Or they belong in Assyoulum.

It's so amazing to me what strangers expect from Mr. King because they buy his book. Thirty dollars or more is something you spend to be entertained and enable a writer to make a living (in his case, a darned good one but hey, he earned it by making us all such constant readers). If I ever met him, got a book signed, or a photo, I would consider that an honour - not my right because I buy his books. How entitled some people feel just boggles my mind.

When ever he comes to my place he expects a cheese, baby spinach and Spam omelet. One indulges one's house guests as best as one can. I always serve my esteemed guests on my fine Royal Doulton china. As one does.

Here's a handy hint for the best way to eat Junior Mints while at the movies:

"My candy of choice is Junior Mints. And while I don't bring bootleg food into the movies, I do bring bootleg toothpicks. Then, as I relax in my seat, I take a toothpick and poke five or six Junior Mints onto it. It ends the dreaded Chocolate Hand, and it's also kind of fun to eat candy off a stick. I call them Mint-Kebabs." - by Stephen King
