And I totally understand and respect that. Nobody has walked one step in your mom's shoes but your mom. So all the "I would've's," "she should've's" mean jack squat.
In the case I mentioned above, they would've loved to have seen this guy in jail.

...we have guys in my prison that are locked up for non-support....really?!?!....that awesome 18 dollars a month they get as Inmates is really going to dent that back support.....
I have two guys working for me who are on work release, incarcerated for failure to pay child support. Non-support payees are the only one's I'll hire from corrections. I believe in giving second chances and a portion of what they make goes to their back support. They also need to pay for 'room and board' at corrections... I don't understand that. ....I've always thought Community Control sanctions would make more sense.....put them to work at a reasonable wage-helping in their home area, and attach a large portion of their earnings without completely crippling them.....I have two guys working for me who are on work release, incarcerated for failure to pay child support. They take away a guy's driver's license for non support-How is he supposed to get to work to pay the support, if you live in a rural area with no buses or taxis?
In my state they make your license conditional for work,that is to and from only..all other stuff you're supposed to get rides or have other people do your errands. A lot of people just ignore the conditions though,heck most people ignore the laws as is blatantly obvious by the number of people talking on their cellphones or texting,either that or they find their crotches incredibly interesting as they sit in traffic..
