I remember toys were a lot more awesome. We had the colorforms, lite bright, and easy bake oven. Those were some days when I could spend just hours outside. We were only inside as a form of punishment.

Weren't the toys also more durable back then now? Action figures are o cheap and flimsy now. And those Corgi toy cars just ain't what they used to be.

Yes they were.

As far as toy cars they contain a lot more plastic now so not nearly as tough.

When it comes to action figures, as we told GNTLGNT in another thread, that's a fancy name for a doll. ;-D

1975? I think was first time I ever saw an aluminum baseball bat. Ping sound was LOUD and seemed unnatural.

By the time I graduated high school, and after finishing second in the state that year (not so humble brag), my coach let me carry this bat off the field and keep for myself.

It's in the closet gathering dust...

Kind of like my athletic career now.

My Bombat was blue with gold lettering. I loved the sound of that ping....

I've talked about this before. I had the ultimate date car. I'm not bragging, because I was too unpopular for it to be used to spec. But it was the ultimate date car.

Rear seat folds forward. Truck divider folds back. Seven feet of stretch-out room in the back, with big picture window to admire the stars. It was a great car to, um, take camping.

What kind of car is this? :frog::nerd:

Ooops - disregard (I just read post # 419) :encouragement:

I used to like to go outside and make mud pies. I think that there would probably these days be warning labels. There were no medication advertisements on television and Viagra was not even invented yet.
Plus I am pretty sure they were still allowed to advertise cigarettes and booze on TV (well, come to think of it, they still do advertise booze) :facepalm_smiley:
