Good news! I usually wait for about a week afterwards, for the crowds to thin out. I don't know if I can wait this time around.
There aren't a lot of movies I rush to the theater for but this is definitely one.

I just got my tickets. They had just gone on sale so I get to pick exactly where I wanted to sit and exactly when I wanted to go.
I'm so jealous. Enjoy. I have to wait until a few days after the US release before my country gets it.

I take it that it will just be you and the wife? Are the girls allowed to stay up late? (I'm figuring they probably have school the next day).
I'm going alone, my wife doesn't like scary movies! I often am seeing movies alone late at night, it's quite the treat to get some alone time actually!

Hi Neesy, I stopped listening to the radio years ago and I just hate filling out forms. I'm destined to pay those outrageously high ticket prices and popcorn prices. I think I'll take a few of the older grandkids for company. It's Friday eve! See 'ya, mal.

I missed seeing DT when it was here, schedules just did not work out. But no way I'm missing this one. I have not pre bought tickets or anything, but that is not usually an issue where I live. Will just plan a night or maybe a weekend matinee and go.

I don't listen to KISS - I just Googled and it popped up as a place that was running a contest.
I'm not even sure what my work schedule is for the opening day - might have to wait until the day after.
Like you, I don't normally go to the premieres but I am hoping this movie will be a good one!
Friday eve? Nah - not for me - I get the whole day off Friday but then I have to work Saturday, Sunday and Monday 2:30 to 10
My son and I (who will be home from college this weekend through Tuesday) will be seeing an advanced screening of IT on Tuesday!! Cannot wait!

I got dibs on the movie poster from the theater from here in Bangor (and I will be seeing it opening weekend). I've already got a place on my wall eyeballed for it.
