Thanks for that! They were great friends; they may have been "involved" at one time also. Stevie Nicks was involved with so many rockers over the years it's hard to keep track.
Look how humble when he walked out. Looking around at himself.
This video always cracked me up. He looks like he's about to crack up laughing several times. This was such a good album to sit and talk with my friends during college and partake...lol

He's in full Neil Young parody mode with this one. And probably high as a kite.
So were my friends and I most of the time when we played this album...lmaoHe's in full Neil Young parody mode with this one. And probably high as a kite.
LOL. Let's roll indeed. I can remember when this song first started being played on the radio, the word "joint" would be scrambled...we always thought that was hilarious and usually the only excuse we needed to do exactly what he was singing about..lolHe sure is not trying to laugh! Forgot about this video. Thank you for posting! And yeah, Mr. Petty songs are good times.
Let's roll.
Maybe this was mentioned in the Runnin' Down A Dream documentary, but did he style his singing especially after Roger McGuinn, because he was a fan of him? It seems to me more that they share a style of singing than that their voices are exactly alike.
Lots of giants of music on this stage! Watch how in awe Dhani Harrison of being up there with all of them. Prince took his solo to a whole 'Nuther level.....(and I just read that he didn't even get to practice it with the band, that when the time came for him to do the solo another guitar player took over and did it both times they were practicing!). Check it out:

Dhani was thrilled beyond belief to have all of those rock 'gods' playing his Dad's song. He does look like George!Yes! I felt sorry for the kid, he was hanging in - and spooked at the same time with how much he looks like his dad. Thanks for the link.
Wow. Never saw that performance before NN. That was awesome.I'll try to stop. Oh look Eddie Vedder! yes yes yes.
